The “Most Awesome Summer Story” Contest for Kids

Listen up Kids (and Parents)!

We are opening our first summer story contest for kids.

Write a story about your awesome summer adventure. All stories will be published on our Just for Kids Forum. There will be two age categories: up to 12 years and 13-16 years, with one winner in each group.

So what can you write about? It could be anything about camping with your family or going to camp, doing something brave, scary or funny. You can tell us about meeting your new best friend or learning an important lesson.

Story Requirements:

1. Topic has to involve some outdoorsy activities

2. Max 350 words

3. Deadline: September 15, 2010

4. You can attach a photo if you like (it will be published with your story)

5. Include your name, age and grade and your parents contact information. Only your first name (or pseudonym if you wish) and age will be published for your privacy, unless requested otherwise.

6. Email to: momanddadcamping@gmail.com
 

7. We will contact winners by e-mail and their stories will be a feature in our Newsletter.

8. Stories will be judged on how well written (grammar etc.) and interesting they are. I am sure it will be a tough call.

9. Great prizes: digital cameras to be won!
