A Camping Trip is Fun for the Whole Family!

Do you ever feel that your kids spend entirely too much time parked in front of the TV or computer, instead of outside?

If so, you aren’t alone. Many parents nowadays are concerned because their children are growing up in such a technological environment.  With every sort of electronic gizmo and gadget imaginable, a lot of kids in this ultra-modern world aren’t spending time outdoors enjoying the wonders of Mother Nature.

Camping is a wonderful way to get your family out of the house, and offers great opportunities to experience nature firsthand!

People of all ages enjoy camping trips! Kids, especially, find it huge fun to go camping and cook over a campfire, sleep in tents---the whole enchilada.

In fact, it would be hard to find a more wholesome, enjoyable activity for the entire family than camping.

Besides the experience of getting more in touch with nature and the natural world we live in, camping affords many other benefits.

For example, you will probably be surprised to see how eagerly your kids will pitch in to gather firewood and do other campsite related chores! You might have to nag to get the trash taken out at home, but for some strange and wondrous reason, most kids are happy to share the workload on a camping trip.

A few days living outside is also a glorious opportunity for kids to exercise their imaginations!

When my kids were young, they loved pretending to be pioneers, Native Americans or explorers; and would play happily around the campsite for hours in their imaginary roles.

A camping trip is also a fantastic learning experience in so many areas, as kids learn about fire safety, basic survivalist skills and cooking outdoors, and how to work and play together as a group.

Spending time in such close proximity to the plants and creatures that make up the natural world is always an adventure as well as a learning experience!
