Hello from a camper in NH

We are new to this forum and would like to introduce ourselves. We just retired, and live in NH. We especially love camping in National Forests and Parks. We have a Bigfoot travel trailer and pull it with a Toyota Tundra.
We would love to travel through Canada across country to Alaska. Planning on doing this next year. Shorter trips this year will include Niagra Falls, Quebec, Montreal, NB, and Newfoundland.
Can anyone offer some information on Canadian campgrounds? Do they have National Parks, and can we take our golden retriever?

Welcome Rob!
Welome to our Forum!
It is a great plan to travel all across Canada, I wish I could do the same!
The shorter trips sound great as well.
To answer your question: yes we have National Parks in Canada. Each province also has Provincial Parks. These parks usually have the best location and scenery, but services vary. Also, they get booked-up early, so making your reservations asap is a must.
You can find links to all these parks in the Resources section of the wesite.
There are also, of course, plenty of private campgrounds and some of them are really wonderful.
As to travelling with your dog, I have seen dogs in all the parks I have visited, so I am assuming that they are permitted, however, there might be restrictions as to where they can go. For example, they may not be allowed on beaches.
It would be wise to research the campgrounds en-route and even call them in advance to find out their policy.
I hope it helps.
