Camping Teaches Your Kids to be Good Citizens of the Planet Earth

If you are a parent, this is the most important job you will ever have!

You are responsible for molding, shaping, teaching and training another human being who has been entrusted to your care and guidance.

What an awesome responsibility!

In my humble opinion, a camping trip offers much scope for parenting because there are so very many valuable lessons you can teach your child or children while camping.

For example, camping as a family requires a group/family effort to make everything run smoothly.

Everyone takes a turn fetching wood for the campfire.

Everybody has cooking and clean-up duties.

All share the responsibility of safety while living in the great outdoors.

This is wonderful training for kids, especially as more and more, our children are spending long, solitary hours in front of a computer screen or playing a video game.

Human beings need to know how to work and live together….how to coexist in a group, working as a cohesive unit for the survival and advantage of all.

It has been that way since cavemen banded together in numbers, in order to enjoy more safety and security, and it is still that way today.

Kids benefit greatly from learning this!

Besides teaching children how to work as a unit for the good of all, camping is a perfect opportunity for you to teach your kids the responsibility we all have to the earth we inhabit, and our duty to protect and nurture it.

This is a wonderful time to talk to your kids about fire safety, respecting the flora and fauna around us, and how our ecosystem works.

The great thing about camping trips is that you can all have tons of fun while you are doing some good parenting, and teaching your kids many things they need to know, in order to be responsible citizens of the earth!

I totally agree!

Great points, I could not agree more!
